What Is The Best Organic Weed Killer? »

I use this on my tomatoes and peppers with good success. These spikes should also work well for any kind of vegetable fruiting bodies. The spikes last 8 weeks at a time and a nice, steady slow-release fertilizer. This leads to very convenient and gardening. For tomatoes, I do at half the recommended rate, and supplemented with potassium and magnesium-rich fertilizer (Epsom salts, greensand,), wood ashes, miracle-gro for tomatoes. For peppers I (on 1 / 3 of the recommended speed, and a small amount of Epsom salts, these plants do not need much fertilizer, but a little magnesium) are hungry. My cultures on both types of plants are large, and I'm quite happy with them. I only wish they had a small head with more nitrogen to potassium (for example, tomatoes: 2-6-7 instead of 2-7-4)
